ANNOUNCEMENT 1 (23 October 2015)
Dear Participants of the NASAM Colour Walk 2015,
We wish to inform that we are monitoring the air quality every day as your health is of utmost importance to us.
However, as the haze situation can change significantly from day to day, we try not to cancel the event prematurely, our rationale as follows. Much effort has been put into organising this event and we know many of you, including our stroke survivors nationwide have been practising and looking forward enthusiastically to this event. Furthermore, our event comprises only two (2) categories of short walks, namely 1.5 km and 5 km, which we estimate can be completed around one (1) hour.
We will monitor this haze situation closely on Saturday, 24th October 2015.
Any update on our decision will be announced here and on our Facebook Page.
If you do not hear from us, please consider the event ON !!
Should the situation deteriorate to an unhealthy level before the colour walk starts on Sunday morning, we reserve the right to make a late cancellation on site.
As everyone’s health is of primary importance, we wish to advise all our participants to take precaution by wearing a face mask at the event.
Please help us share this news with all your families, friends and colleagues who have registered for the NASAM Colour Walk 2015.
Thank you for your kind understanding and support as we navigate through this challenging haze situation.
